Our Board

The Kidtopia Playground Association board consists of 8 community members who are dedicated to fostering the continued development of Kidtopia Park in Grant, Alabama.

General Coordinator

Elizabeth Waldrop

Elizabeth moved to Grant with her husband Jeremy and two children in 2019. Elizabeth loves to play at the park with her children. When invited to a board meeting by a friend she was excited to get involved. Helping the community and giving back are values she was taught growing up and believes the park is an important part of our community serving families and our children. 

 

Assistant General Coordinator

Corey Walker

Corey frequents Kidtopia park weekly with his son and joined the board to help make the playground a safe place for his family. Corey is an Atmospheric Science Programmer for the Jacobs Space Exploration Group (JSEG) at Marshall Spaceflight Center in Huntsville, Alabama supporting National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

Secretary

Ashley Marques

Ashley, moved to Grant in 2022 with her husband Deryck and adorable son. She is excited to be a part of the Grant community and  was quick to volunteer when she learned about Kidtopia Playground and the goals to maintain and improve the local park! 

Fundraising Co-Chair

Kayla Cherry

Kayla is an active member of the community with three beautiful daughters who keep her busy! Kayla joined the board to help make a positive impact in our community and she frequents the park with her children and wants to make sure there is a fun and safe place for her girls to play!

Event Coordinator

Molly Prince

Molly is a Grant native and volunteered in building Kidtopia as a middle schooler. She attended DAR High School, is a graduate of UAH, and works in her family's motorsports company here in Grant. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband Jack and daughter Charlie, and is excited to help the park continue to be a staple in the Grant Community.

Megan Russel

Megan is an active member of the Grant & New Hope communities as a mom of 3 girls and cheerleading coach!

Volunteer Coordinator

Stephanie Warr

Stephanie, a native of Georgia,  and her husband Steve moved to Grant in 2014 and are active members of our community. They have one beautiful spirited daughter and have just opened a Tint World franchise in Huntsville. 

Project Coordinator

Matthew Mangum

Matthew has lived in North Alabama his entire life, having family in the Marshall County Area he actually played on the Kidtopia Park when it was initially built, that is a driving force in his involvement in our group, to ensure a safe park for his kids to be able to enjoy now. He is married to his wife Elise, and they have 2 kids who attend DAR. He works in Project Management with JSI, working on a variety of commercial & industrial projects for a variety of clients!
